We are seeking a strategic, operationally rigorous Director of Information Technology to oversee enterprise IT operations, cybersecurity governance, infrastructure modernization, application integration, and digital transformation initiatives across a complex healthcare technology ecosystem.
This is not a helpdesk oversight role. This is an enterprise-level IT performance and governance leadership mandate.
Job Function
The Director of Information Technology will lead enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, application systems, cybersecurity operations, data governance, and service delivery management across a multi-site healthcare technology environment.
This executive ensures system reliability, regulatory compliance, digital modernization, and operational scalability aligned with clinical and commercial growth objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Define and execute enterprise IT strategy aligned with digital health growth and regulatory compliance mandates.
Oversee cloud and on-premise infrastructure performance, ensuring 24/7 uptime and service-level adherence.
Lead cybersecurity governance across patient data systems, identity management, threat detection, and incident response protocols.
Manage EHR integrations, interoperability frameworks, and secure data exchange platforms.
Implement a KPI dashboards tracking system availability, MTTR, cybersecurity posture, and digital adoption rates.
Guide ITIL-based service management processes and operational performance governance.
Oversee disaster recovery and business continuity planning across distributed healthcare networks.
Manage vendor performance for cloud providers, cybersecurity partners, and managed service organizations.
Lead modernization of enterprise applications, ERP systems, and analytics platforms.
Collaborate with Compliance and Legal teams to ensure adherence to HIPAA and federal regulatory standards.
Oversee IT budgeting, capital planning, and cost optimization strategies.
Build and mentor high-performing IT, infrastructure, and security teams.
Present IT performance updates to executive leadership and Board-level committees.
Strategic Support
Advise CIO and executive leadership on long-term technology investment priorities.
Support M&A integration initiatives through system harmonization and infrastructure alignment.
Align IT modernization initiatives with ESG and data governance frameworks.
Contribute to digital transformation strategy, including AI-enabled clinical decision support tools.
Strengthen enterprise risk mitigation frameworks related to cybersecurity and data privacy.
Guide workforce digital enablement initiatives across clinical and administrative teams.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
15+ years of progressive IT leadership experience.
7+ years within healthcare technology, digital health, enterprise SaaS, or regulated environments.
Strong expertise in cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or hybrid), cybersecurity governance, and enterprise application integration.
Demonstrated experience operating within HIPAA and healthcare regulatory frameworks.
Proven success leading multi-site IT teams and enterprise modernization initiatives.
Strong financial acumen in managing multi-million-dollar IT budgets.
Experience in presenting IT governance reports to executive leadership and Board stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in Technology, Healthcare Administration, or Business strongly preferred.

Compensation & Benefits
Total Executive Compensation Package: $325,000 – $417,000 USD
Compensation Includes:
