About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Director of Golf Operations to oversee the overall management and strategic direction of golf operations for a prestigious luxury hospitality and golf resort organization recognized internationally for delivering exceptional guest experiences and world-class golf facilities.

The Director of Golf Operations will be responsible for managing daily golf operations, ensuring high standards of service, and maintaining the quality and reputation of championship golf courses and related facilities. This leadership role will supervise golf professionals, operations staff, and service teams to ensure seamless guest experiences across tournaments, memberships, and daily play activities.

Working closely with executive leadership and hospitality management teams, the Director of Golf Operations will implement operational strategies that enhance member satisfaction, optimize course utilization, and support revenue growth through tournaments, corporate events, and membership programs.

The role requires strong operational leadership, deep knowledge of golf course management, and the ability to deliver exceptional service within a luxury resort environment. The Director will also play a key role in maintaining industry relationships, supporting marketing initiatives, and ensuring the golf operation continues to reflect the highest standards expected by international guests and members.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee daily golf course operations, including tee time management, member services, and guest experiences.
• Manage golf staff, including golf professionals, operations teams, and support personnel.
• Ensure golf facilities, practice areas, and pro shops maintain high operational standards.
• Coordinate golf tournaments, corporate events, and member competitions.
• Develop operational procedures that improve efficiency and service quality.
• Monitor course usage, booking systems, and membership activity.
• Collaborate with hospitality and resort management teams to enhance guest experiences.
• Manage golf shop operations, including merchandising and retail performance.
• Maintain relationships with golf associations, sponsors, and event partners.
• Implement training programs for golf operations staff.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and facility management standards.
• Prepare operational reports and performance updates for senior leadership.


Job Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Sports Management, Business Administration, or related field.
10–15+ years of experience in golf operations, resort management, or sports facility operations.
• Previous leadership experience managing golf clubs, luxury resorts, or championship golf courses.
• Strong understanding of golf course operations, tournament coordination, and membership services.
• Experience managing hospitality teams and delivering high-end customer service experiences.
• Knowledge of golf management software and reservation systems preferred.
• Strong operational planning and team leadership skills.

Compensation & Benefits

Total Compensation Package: $280,000 – $375,000
