The Director of Communications is a senior leadership position responsible for developing and executing integrated communication strategies across corporate, internal, media, and executive channels. This role ensures clarity, consistency, and strategic alignment of messaging across global audiences—including employees, customers, partners, and investors.
This is not a traditional public relations role. It is a strategic leadership mandate focused on enterprise storytelling, executive visibility, brand credibility, and corporate reputation management at scale.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and execute comprehensive global communications strategy aligned with enterprise objectives.
Lead corporate messaging frameworks and narrative development across all channels.
Oversee internal communications strategy to support culture, engagement, and change management initiatives.
Drive executive communications, including speeches, thought leadership, and leadership visibility.
Manage media relations, crisis communication planning, and reputation management.
Align communication initiatives with brand, marketing, and corporate strategy.
Lead communication planning for major company announcements, product launches, and corporate milestones.
Oversee cross-functional collaboration with HR, Marketing, Legal, and Executive teams.
Establish communication KPIs and reporting metrics to measure impact.
Lead and develop a high-performing communications team.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
12+ years of progressive experience in corporate communications, public relations, or executive communications.
Proven experience in large-scale enterprise or global organizations.
Strong background in executive messaging and strategic storytelling.
Experience managing corporate reputation and crisis communications.
Demonstrated ability to partner with C-suite leadership.
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in Communications, Public Relations, or Business preferred.
Experience in technology, SaaS, or digital infrastructure environments preferred.
