To support this mission, we are seeking a Director of Business Excellence to lead enterprise initiatives focused on operational optimization, Lean transformation, quality performance, and strategic process improvement across global manufacturing and supply chain operations.
This executive will serve as a key driver of operational transformation, working closely with plant leadership, supply chain executives, quality teams, and corporate leadership to implement scalable frameworks that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product delivery timelines. The role demands a leader with deep expertise in Lean Six Sigma methodologies, performance analytics, and regulated manufacturing environments, as well as the ability to influence change across a complex global organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Lead enterprise-wide business excellence and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing, supply chain, and operational functions.
• Design and implement Lean, Six Sigma, and operational excellence frameworks to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize performance.
• Drive standardization of global processes, performance metrics, and operational best practices across multiple manufacturing sites.
• Partner with plant leadership to enhance production efficiency, capacity utilization, and cost optimization initiatives.
• Oversee implementation of data-driven performance management systems and KPI frameworks across global operations.
• Lead cross-functional transformation programs focused on quality improvement, cycle time reduction, and operational scalability.
• Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and compliance frameworks within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Identify opportunities for digital transformation and automation within manufacturing and supply chain operations.
• Collaborate with supply chain leaders to improve inventory management, demand planning, and distribution efficiency.
• Develop and lead enterprise training programs to embed a culture of continuous improvement and operational discipline.
• Manage large-scale transformation initiatives and track measurable outcomes tied to cost savings, productivity gains, and quality improvements.
• Provide executive-level reporting on operational performance and transformation progress to senior leadership.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Operations Management, or related field.
• Master’s degree or MBA strongly preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt certification is highly preferred.
• 12–18+ years of progressive experience in operations, manufacturing excellence, or continuous improvement within life sciences or regulated industries.
• Proven track record leading enterprise-wide operational transformation programs.
• Strong experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, biotech operations, or regulated production environments.
• Deep understanding of GMP, quality systems, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
• Experience working across global manufacturing networks and multi-site operations.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in performance metrics, process optimization, and data-driven decision-making.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.

Compensation & Benefits
Total Compensation Package: $300,000 – $415,000
