About the Role
In an environment defined by volatility, complexity, and accelerating change, investment leadership has become one of the most consequential functions in the enterprise. We are seeking a Chief Investment Officer (CIO) to lead capital strategy, portfolio construction, and long-term investment performance for a large, sophisticated organization managing substantial assets across public and private markets.
This role is designed for a senior investment executive who understands how to balance risk, return, liquidity, and time horizon at scale. The CIO will own the enterprise investment mandate, guiding asset allocation, manager selection, and portfolio strategy to support long-term objectives while navigating market cycles and structural shifts.
As a core member of the executive leadership team, the CIO will partner closely with the CEO, CFO, Board, and Investment Committee to ensure capital is deployed with discipline, foresight, and accountability. You will lead a diverse portfolio spanning traditional and alternative assets, oversee external managers and internal teams, and establish governance that enables both agility and control.
This is not a caretaker role focused solely on performance reporting. It is a mandate to build investment management as a strategic enterprise capability, one that preserves capital, generates sustainable returns, and supports the organization’s long-term mission.
